Abstract:This paper introduces a new participatory assessment of development （padev） method，which is based on many years of practical research in the development situation of remote areas. Padev method is based on the principle of holistic and local knowledge，which is different from other methods. It uses intersubjectivity to evaluate the different effects of development intervention on different sub groups in different communities. Padev method involves many stakeholders，including the expected beneficiaries and development leaders of development intervention. It will contribute to the writing of local development history，the sharing of local knowledge among multiple subjects，the capacity building of community development，and the optimization of action plans or strategies of relevant community organizations.
