Abstract:In 2020，Thailand was hit hard by COVID-19 pandemic. At the beginning of the year，the Thai government urgently needed to restore the tourism industry after the pandemic. The top priority is to create economic added value through culture-based activities，to promote the development of the cultural tourism industry，and to reduce the economic impact of the pandemic. However，the recurrence of the pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty to cultural activities. The actual implementation of the main “moral-model villages on tour” plan has not been as effective as expected，and a series of cultural activities have been restricted. In addition，in 2020，the continuous escalation of student protests and demonstrations has caused a sharp division between different age groups. The core values of Thai society have been challenged as never before.
