Abstract:The year of 2020 marks the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The friendship between China and Malaysia has become stronger over years. In addition to deepening economic and trade cooperation，people-to-people exchanges between the two countries have become more frequent. China-Malaysia cultural exchanges cover education，culture，art，health and other fields. By comparing reports and institutional data on China-Malaysia people-to-people exchange activities in 2019 and 2020，this report finds that the areas of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries in 2020 focus mainly on education，culture and health. The mode of the exchanges is online communication and online/offline exchanges are supplemented. People-to-people exchanges have a certain degree of continuity and pragmatism，and have formed multiple normalized exchange mechanisms. The government still plays an important role in facilitating the people-to-people exchanges and the private sector supplements. With the continuous attempts of online models，there will be more innovations and developments in China-Malaysia people-to-people exchanges in the future.
