Abstract:In 2020，China petroleum engineering construction enterprises went all out to fight COVID-19 and ensure project construction，elaborately organized and planned，and built over 100 key projects of oil and gas field construction，oil and gas storage and transportation engineering，refining and chemical engineering，and so on. Business income，new contracts and profits grew year after year，and achieved stable and healthy development in special industries. This report sorts out the basic situation of the industry development and the construction of key projects，summarizes the comprehensive promotion of the “six modernizations” management mode，and comprehensively promotes the construction of “intelligent oil and gas fields，intelligent pipelines，and intelligent refining”. China’s large-diameter pipeline construction ranks the international leading level，and the LNG terminal presents the characteristics of large scale，large single storage capacity，and high technical content. This paper points out the problems existing in the development of the industry，such as the fierce market competition，the increased risk of overseas engineering market，the aging of the team，and puts forward some suggestions，such as taking the market as the guide，fully exploiting the domestic and foreign markets，optimizing the operation structure，innovating the operation mode，and increasing the investment in science and technology.
