Abstract:Against the background of the global pandemic in 2020，anti-epidemic has become the top issue facing governments of all countries，and Russia is no exception. In the past year，Russia’s relations with the West，especially with Europe，has shown no signs of improvement. Post-Soviet space remains the top priority of Russia’s diplomacy. Relying on the CIS，the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization，Russia has been actively developing relations with countries in the post-Soviet space. Russia paid attention to the situation in Central Asia and kept close relations with Central Asian countries. Russia-Ukraine relations were deteriorated compared with 2019，and the two countries got further alienated. At the beginning of 2020，discord on the issue of energy prices took place between Russian and Belarusian，but it was improved after Russia helping Belarus to get out of the election crisis. Russia played an important role in mediating the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan，which enhanced its regional influence. Moldova’s new president Maya Sandu’s pro-European foreign policy brought new element of instability to Russia-Morocco relations. Despite the rapid changes in the international situation，post-Soviet space has always maintained an important position in Russia’s foreign strategy. It is an important geopolitical task for Russia.
