Abstract:Sino-Russian cooperation plays an importance role in China’s foreign cooperation in science and technology （S&T） innovation. China-Soviet cooperation helped China build a complete basic industrial system and defense industry，as well as establish China’s scientific research institutions，cultivate talents，and lay the foundation for scientific research. After the collapse of the Soviet Union，Sino-Russian S&T innovation cooperation has continued to develop in the past 30 years，forming a multi-measure，multi-field and all-round pattern. In specific，the cooperation mechanism runs stably；positive progress has been made in the counterpart cooperation between universities and scientific research institutes；a number of S&T innovation cooperation information service platforms have been created；fundamental research has achieved certain results；and the construction of S&T cooperation bases has been steadily progressing；S&T innovation achievements in various fields are abundant. Under the current situation，the continuous promotion of Sino-Russia S&T innovation cooperation has strategic significance and practical value. It is an important means to ensure that the two parties maintain a leading position in the high-tech field as well as a strong support for the comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era. Aiming at the problems in Sino-Russian innovation cooperation，the two countries should recognize the changes in the S&T innovation paradigm in the new era，strengthen the top-level design in cooperation mechanism，give full play to corporate innovation，create a cooperation service platform，and promote cooperation in fundamental research to deepen China-Russian S&T innovation.
