Abstract:In 2019，the development of relations between Japan and Pacific Island countries showed a state of “great harmony and small differences”，and Japan firmly implemented the “South Pacific Policy”. Japan has strengthened its partnership with Australia，New Zealand and the South Pacific island countries through strategic alliances，economic mutual assistance，resource development，and scientific and technological exchanges. Oceania countries are one of the important fulcrums for Japan to achieve its national strategic aspirations and geo-strategic objectives，while Japan is an “Valuable” country that Oceania countries cannot ignore.
