Abstract:Since Salman succeeded the king，Saudi Arabia has changed the way of throne inheritance and ushered in the “Salman Dynasty”. Crown power is concentrated in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman，who has been consolidating power and preparing for succession. Faced with competition from oil-producing countries such as Russia and the United States，Saudi Arabia has adopted a radical oil policy，leading to a sharp decline in international oil prices，which will aggravate Saudi economic difficulties and affect the smooth implementation of Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia’s ongoing “de-Wahhabi” social and cultural reforms have provoked opposition from religious classes and the conservatives. Deep reforms in the political，economic and social cultural spheres are impacting the three pillars of Saudi statehood，namely family rule，petrodollars and religious beliefs，foreshadowing Saudi Arabia’s uncertain prospects.
