Abstract:In 2019，Nayib Bukele，presidential candidate of the centre-right Gran Alianza por la Unidad Nacional，won in the general election of El Salvador. Bukele’s government is facing policy challenges. Economic growth is still slow，and the economic policies center on the creation of a stable atmosphere of business and trade，introduce investment and promote trade，and remittance income still played one of the main important factors to the economic growth. Fighting against gangsters and anti-corruption are on the priority agenda of the new government. In the social area，the murder rate declines，Bukele’s new public security plan，known as the Plan de Control Territorial is implemented. The International Commission against Impunity in El Salvador is founded for anti-corruption. In the diplomatic field，the President Nayib Bukele visited China，which promoted the bilateral relations between China and El Salvador. The immigration issues had negative impacts on the prospects between the US and El Salvador.
