2018～2019年印度尼西亚政治形势报告

Abstract:This chapter is divided into two parts：internal affairs and foreign affairs. It analyzes Indonesia’s governance program，political performance and policy tendency in 2018-2019 from the aspects of political consensus building，national governance measures，bilateral and multilateral diplomatic relations，etc. The research shows that 2019，as a political election year，not only tests the government’s performance，reveals policy defects，but also lays the fundamental tone for Indonesia’s political development in the next five years. During the first term of the Cabinet of Ministers，Indonesia’s economic development model dominated by infrastructure construction showed strong performance，the social welfare system continued to improve，and the poverty rate significantly decreased. Pragmatic diplomacy safeguarded national interests and achieved remarkable results in such diplomatic strategies as economic，marine and power balance. Under this tendency，President Joko Widodo will continue to promote pragmatic diplomacy，further enhance international prestige，and strive to achieve the strategic goal of a moderately powerful country in the next term，taking into account policy continuity and political reform.
