中国海外利益保护：基本形势与体系建设

Abstract:The main threat to China’s overseas interests has changed since 2012，therefore China must establish new priorities and methods to protect these interests. Furthermore，there are differing domestic opinions and even debates on this issue. Although between 2016 and 2017 the overall security situation for China’s overseas interests was serious，China still tried to maintain the basic principles of its current policies and to enhance protection. On the one hand，China will continue and even increase its investments in developing countries，especially in terms of cooperation in the construction of infrastructure；on the other hand，China will also attempt to control the inherent risks by enhancing consular protection，its overseas military presence，market channels，and state regulation.
