Abstract:With the rise of emerging countries，the scope of global south-south cooperation is being expanded from mainly political cooperation to broadly economic，social，cultural and other areas. Differing from the traditional south-south cooperation，the present south-south cooperation features the characteristics of sharing developmental experience and mutual benefit. Agriculture development has always been the focus of the south-south cooperation. South-south cooperation in agriculture is now combined the modalities of bilateral cooperation and more increasingly trilateral cooperation. China has been adhering to the fundamental principles of global south-south cooperation，especially in agricultural sector. China is becoming the significant participator，leading power and contributor to innovate modalities and approaches of south-south cooperation.
