Abstract:In Thailand，the Theravada Buddhism has an indirect and profound influence on the construction of political culture from the individual level，the group level and the national level. The Buddhist ethical morality，the legitimate concept of political power and the traditional cultural concept in Thailand society have commonly shaped the contemporary political and culture of Thailand；Buddhist faith，doctrine and monk’s special status have played a certain role in promoting or balancing the political election，the state policy making and the stability of the country. Thus，the practical significance of Buddhism to Thailand’s political activities has been becoming more and more significant. With the historical evolution，Buddhist doctrines have gradually formed the core connotation of Thai political culture. During the actual governance，the political appeals of the public and political parties have helped the secularization of Buddhism.
