Abstract:Pubertal “sexual health” is an influential factor to individual growth，is important to juvenile psychological well-being and improvement of population quality. Our research has identified the following characteristics of juvenile group in Shanghai：its “advance” of sexual physiological maturity has been slowing down；its sexual psychology has become increasingly open and more tolerant；its sexual behavior frequency has increased to some extent；while its knowledge on sex is inadequate. In reality，juvenile still have to find their own way of acquiring sexual knowledge. The contradiction between juvenile’s increasingly open attitude towards sex and the lack of proper sexual education has become more acute. It has become an urgent issue that for the healthy growth of next generation，we need to work with school，family and society together to create a systematic sexual education system.
