Abstract:In 2017，Angola's ruling party，the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola，won national elections. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço succeeded José Eduardo dos Santos as president of Angola. The Angolan people want the new president to bring positive change to Angola. Global oil price began a rebound，but Angola is still in an economic crisis. Economic reform is imperative，which is also the key to the success of the new president. Several countries in the Great Lakes region and southern Africa are in turmoil；to solve the turmoil，Angola has taken an active part in international morality and fulfilled its obligations as a regional power. The relations between China and Angola have enjoyed a good momentum of development. Their political mutual trust has been continuously strengthened and pragmatic cooperation in all fields has been steadily pushed forward
