Abstract:The Belt and Road Initiative sparked widespread media attention both at home and abroad. This paper aims to analyze the Portuguese mainstream media reports on “the Belt and Road” issues，access to their direct evaluation and opinions about the Belt and Road Initiative，grasp their attitude of media public sentiment and its variation tendency on the issues related to China. From that，the paper will research the status quo and the future trend of the country's policy related to China，in order to enhance the China's image and make suggestions in terms of the strategic ideas and pattern which correspond to its economic development，furthermore，to provide reference based on status analysis for promoting the going out developmental strategy of Chinese enterprises
