Abstract:In 2017，even though the Trump administration has introduced a new strategy for Afghanistan，the situation in Afghanistan has not fundamentally improved.The peace process has gone no further，and there is still an intense struggle between the Afghan government and the Taliban.Meanwhile，Afghanistan may become the focus of the future infiltration of IS after its defeat in the Middle East.In 2017，the security situation in Central Asia is stable.However，all countries are highly concerned about the impact of the situation in Afghanistan on Central Asia，especially about the threat that derived from the IS's infiltration in Afghanistan.At present，the parties have different opinions on the IS's infiltration activities in Afghanistan，nevertheless，on all accounts，the deteriorating situation in the northern region of Afghanistan has posed a threat to Central Asia.Faced with this situation，Central Asian countries have adopted various measures and have stepped up the crackdown on terrorist extremists while actively seeking external assistance.Ten years of anti-terrorism campaign of U.S.in Afghanistan shows that the Afghanistan problem cannot be resolved by force.Hence Central Asian countries have strengthened political interaction and economic cooperation with Afghanistan and they hope to solve the Afghan problem by helping Afghanistan's economic reconstruction.
