中国“一带一路”倡议与亚中关系发展

Abstract:Armenia is located in the intersection of Eurasia region. It is an important hub for the exchanges between the east and west since ancient times. Armenia responded positively to China's proposal of “jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt” in 2013. The relations between China and Armenia have been growing by leaps and bounds. At the same time，Armenia's role in the cooperation between China and Eurasian Economic Union is further highlighted with the signing of the joint statement regarding integrate building of “the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union”. However，due to geographical barriers，Chinese people have little understanding of Armenia and the relations between China and Armenia，let alone understanding of how Armenians see China and the Belt and Road Initiative. Therefore，this article attempts to explore three issues concerning the China-Armenia relations，namely China and the Belt and Road Initiative in the eyes of Armenia，China-Armenia relations under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and some risks that Armenia may face in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative. This article is aimed at enhancing Chinese people's understanding of Armenia and Armenians' understanding of China so as to promote the cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative，as well as the framework of “the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union”.
