Abstract:Being a big and powerful state in the Middle East，Iran is a pivotal country in BRI. This means that the participation of Iran in the BRI is essential to the unfolding of the BRI. The terrorist situation in Iran is showing signs of becoming more and more tense，which will definitely have negative impact on the political and economic stability of Iran and further undermine the unfolding of BRI in the country and beyond. With the nuclear deal reach by President Ruhani，the international and domestic situation of Iran are becoming less tense，with its options in both politics and economy being more diversified. Considering the traditional good relations between China and Iran and the deep-rooted ideological conflicts between Iran and Western countries，it is advisable that Iran strengthens its cooperation with China in combating terrorism.
