文章摘要：新世纪海外华侨华人在规模、实力等方面发生了巨大变化，这一群体的重要性与日俱增。新时代对华侨华人研究、华侨华人文献收藏提出了新的要求，因此要在其研究范围、研究方法和研究深度上全面应对。第六届海外华人研究与文献收藏机构国际会议对此作出了新探索的尝试。
