Abstract:Based on Portugal’s natural advantage in renewable energy，this essay analyses the following aspects：Portugal’s policy-making system and management system in the field of energy，its renewable energy action plan and energy efficiency plan，and its current energy demand and supply. In order to safeguard energy supply and sustainability，Portugal should deal with subsidy deficit，and meanwhile reinforce cooperation with other EU members. In the aspect of energy infrastructure construction，it will be necessary to speed up the interconnection between Iberian countries and other EU members in terms of electricity and gas transmit.
