Abstract:The outbreak of a serious domestic crisis in Yemen and the rapid involvement of regional powers in the crisis can mainly be attributed to a vacuum of power in Yemen and the Middle East as well as the competition for power between the Yemen factions and regional powers. The Yemen crisis has had multiple effects：Yemen is suffering from a collapsed economy and a grave humanitarian crisis；the country has become increasingly divided；extremist terrorism has overrun Yemen and beyond；the dislocation of the Middle East and the fragmentation of the Islamic world is worsening. China’s Middle East diplomacy is also facing new challenges.
