Abstract:During the period from September 2012 to December 2013，the EU adopted or initiated a number of important acts. The most significant secondary legislations aimed at reforming the structure of the EMU include the Two-Pack and the Single Supervisory Mechanism，in order respectively to enhance the supervision of the Euro zone and to establish the banking union. In the field of internal market，the EU launched the Single Market Act II to improve the market’s capacity to promote economic growth and competitiveness. In terms of the Area of Freedom，Security and Justice，the famous Brussels Regulation II on civil and commercial jurisdiction and several other acts relating to international protection have been amended extensively. The EU also reformed the Generalized Scheme of Preferences and trade defence instruments，which will exert significant influences on China’s exports to the EU. Furthermore，the TTIP negotiations，a part of the EU’s new FTA strategy，not only soars up the prolification of regional trade agreements around the world，but also makes potential impacts on the international trade regime and global economic pattern. After the EU and USA officially launched the TTIP negotiations，the EU and China initiated a bilateral investment treaty negotiation.
