Abstract:In 2009，the political situation of the EU remains generally stable in spite of the adverse effects exerted by the global financial crisis. European integration stands firmly on its foot in the face of the crisis，the member states act in a coordinated way in forming a unified foreign policy，and the constitutive Lisbon Treaty reforming the institutional structure of the EU has been passed. Moreover，in the elections for the European Parliament and for the German Parliament，the center-right became the major ruling parties in Europe，and some of the marginal parties like the left and the extreme right also gained some influences.
