近年亚太各国灾难外交活动综述

Abstract:Both Wenchuan Earthquake and Mymmar Cyclone took place in May 2008，which killed thousands of people and caused serious loss. They also received concerned from international society because of the different measures which Chinese government and Mummer government took.In this paper，firstly，it concludes the major natural disasters which happened in recent years in Asia and contrasts some countries’ relief measures. Secondly，it argues that the disaster diplomacy produces different political results depending on states’ policy orientation，for example：it is a chance for a state to rebuild or damage its international image，such as India，China or Mymmar；it provides an opportunity for a state to resolve its domestic conflict，such as Aceh issue in Indonesia and Tamil Tiger problem in Sri Lanka. Finally，it points out that it should develop regional cooperation mechanism to deal with natural disaster and and meet inccreasing challenge of non-traditional security.
