Abstract:In the global nuclear security and non-proliferation system，the issue of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East is particularly attracted the attention in the world. Israel is a de facto state with nuclear weapons，but is free from the international nuclear regulatory system. All countries except Israel in the Middle East have joined the “Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons”（NPT），but the nuclear race in the Middle East is just unfolding. The suspense of Iran’s nuclear issue has become a major factor affecting the regional stability and security in the Middle East within a period of time. The concept and suggestion of “Nuclear Free Zone in the Middle East” had been put forward by relevant countries，but really facing various barriers to reach the goal. The international community had done a lot of work in order to stop proliferation of WMD in the Middle East，but the shadow of nuclear proliferation is still there. The third Nuclear Summit is held in 2014，but the proliferation situation in the Middle East is still hard to be optimistic，and the issue of nuclear proliferation situation in the Middle East has became a factor that can not be ignored corresponding to the world’s long-term stability and security.
