伊朗“向东看”的战略举措及影响

Abstract:For a long time the Islamic Republic of Iran has been entangled in deteriorating security situation and hindered economic development.The major diplomatic policies or tendencies in Iran have been “neither East nor West；Islamic Republic”，“look to the east” and “look to the west”.All of the three coexist during different phases of political development，while one or two distinguished itself/themselves at certain time.In the hope of making a breakthrough，the Nejad Government took “look to the east” stance and shifted its strategic emphasis from West to East.Focusing on the all-dimensional rise of Asia during the recent years and Iran’s need to face the challenges from the U.S.and European countries on nuclear issues，such political and economic “look to the east” policy aims at maintaining balance between eastern and western power.Bearing in mind the experiences of the new economic powerhouses’ in development，the “look to the east” diplomatic practices have achieved remarkable result as well as some negative effect.
