Abstract:The growth of FDI inflows in Africa has been more robust than that of the whole globe in recent years. It is projected that this situation will last within 10 years. The majority of the FDI into Africa are related to natural resources exploration and initial processing. The FDI inflows orienting African consuming markets will be increasing，but their proportion in the total FDI inflow in the world would be relatively small in near future. In 2012，the African countries whose FDI inflow value is above US$ 3 billion include Nigeria，Mozambique，South Africa，Democratic Republic of Congo and Ghana. By the end of 2012，the stock of investment of the Chinese enterprises in Africa had been US$ 21.73 billion，accounting for 3.4% of the total stock of FDI in Africa and 4.1% of the total Chinese oversea FDI stock. In 2012，investment of the Chinese enterprises in South Africa，Zambia，Nigeria，Algeria and Angola accounted for 51.9% of the total Chinese investment in Africa. There are both opportunities and challenges for the Chinese enterprises to invest in Africa and the prospects are promising. Chinese Enterprises should have clear objectives，abide by laws of the African countries，be prepared to overcome difficulties and seek for sustainable development in Africa.
