Abstract:Syria has a long history，a land that has nurtured diverse peoples and colorful religious cultures，and a diverse world cultural heritage that is a treasure for all humanity. In recent decades，Syria has become one of the most important international archaeological fields，receiving more than 100 foreign archaeological teams by the beginning of the 21st century，and its rich archaeological discoveries have pushed the boundaries of human knowledge of civilizations. However，since the turn of the century，deliberate acts of destruction against cultural heritage have intensified in the Middle East for a variety of reasons，and cultural heritage has been hit hard by various conflicts，with one war and terrorist attack provoking worldwide reflection and prompting urgent measures for cultural heritage in Syria and abroad.
