Abstract:Türkiye is an important neighbor of Syria，and both countries play a very important role in the geopolitical map of the Middle East. From the end of the 20th century after Syria’s independence，the Syrian-Turkish Relations showed the characteristics of conflict and cooperation. Since the beginning of the 21st century，the relationship between Syria and Türkiye has maintained a “honeymoon” period of 10 years. Since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis in 2011，Syria and Türkiye have rapidly moved from peaceful dialogue to hostility. Since the end of 2016，bilateral relations have moved towards relaxation. The development of Syria Türkiye relations was affected by many factors left over from the colonial era，such as the ownership of Iskendron，the dispute over water resources，the relationship between Türkiye and Israel，the Kurdish issue and the change of Turkey’s strength. At the moment of the easing of Syria-Türkiye relations，the development of bilateral relations is still full of uncertainties.
