Abstract:British ecological Marxism is the theoretical achievement of Marxist theory combined with ecology，traditional philosophy，literature，and ecological nature thought in the context of social and historical changes. It is also an achievement of the development of Marxism and ecological Marxism in the 20th century. The theory innovates traditional ecological theory based on Marxism and represents a unique theoretical system. A retrospective study of the birth and logic of British ecological Marxism and its trajectory can not only provide insight into the development of Marxism，especially Western Marxism，and deepen the understanding of ecological Marxism，but also serve as a theoretical inspiration and reference for the construction of socialist ecological civilization in China to promote the construction of China’s ecological civilization.
