Abstract:After the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out on February 24，2022，the development momentum of the CSTO was severely frustrated. As the conflict continued，the impact upon CSTO has become further apparent. The situation and positions of the CSTO member states were further differentiated. The alliance between Belarus and Russia continued to strengthen. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan strengthened cooperation with Russia. Kazakhstan paid attention to the situation and expressed its own views. Armenia and the CSTO were gradually drifting away and the risk of its exit become increased. Thanks to the institutional mechanisms and experience accumulated in the past，the CSTO still maintained regular operations and continued to be active and influential in related fields. But given the Russia-Ukraine conflict and changes of international and regional situations，the CSTO is still exploring the way forward amidst pressure and tests.
