Abstract:This report analyzes Indonesia’s social development status from 2023 to 2024 from four aspects:population and employment, education and technology, infrastructure construction, and cultural cooperation. The report shows that Indonesia is currently in the peak period of demographic dividend, with a high proportion of working-age population, but the regional distribution of the population is extremely uneven. The educational level of the employed population is generally low,and informal employment still dominates. In recent years,Indonesia has made some achievements in education, but there are still issues such as unbalanced regional development, low educational quality, and shortage of educational investment and teacher resources. In terms of scientific research, progress is slow due to investment limitations in R&D investment, institutional design, and talent reservation. In 2023,Indonesia’s infrastructure actual expenditure reached a record high, promoting the development of new economic centers including the new capital city of Nusantara, and also accelerating the construction of national strategic priority projects. Over the past seven years, the Jokowi government has completed a total of 190 national strategic priority projects, but still faces challenges such as debt, land acquisition, and corruption. Currently, cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Indonesia in areas such as youth, education, technology, and religion are thriving.
