金砖国家农业合作发展现状研究

Abstract:Agriculture holds a special position among BRICS countries. Strengthening agricultural cooperation among BRICS countries is important for common development in the future. This report analyzed the agricultural cooperation mechanism of BRICS and its impact on agricultural product trade，agricultural investment，agricultural fundamental research，industrial park construction，agricultural technology and cultural exchanges over the past 13 years. Research has found that China and Russia are the main export market of agricultural products for BRICS，while Brazil is the main export source country of agricultural products for BRICS. The overall scale of China’s agricultural utilization of foreign direct investment has decreased，with agricultural investment mainly flowing to Russia. BRICS countries have close cooperation in basic research in areas such as climate change，agricultural facilities，agricultural Internet of Things，and disease prevention and control. The long-term mechanism for joint research among private entities is becoming diversified，and modern agricultural industry cooperation agencies are taking shape，with various people-to-people exchanges in science and technology. In response to the severe challenges facing global food security，it is recommended that BRICS improve their agricultural trade cooperation mechanisms，optimize and adjust the agricultural investment structure among BRICS，increase support for basic research projects in agriculture of BRICS，strengthen technological innovation and achievements transformation of applied agricultural technology，continuously promote scientific，technological，and people-to-people exchanges in the agricultural field among BRICS.
