Abstract:Under the background of accelerating energy transition and energy security in countries around the world，ASEAN countries have formulated energy transition and energy security strategies，implemented renewable energy development plans，and accelerated the development of renewable energy. For a long time，the energy structure of ASEAN countries has been heavily dependent on fossil fuels，and the contradiction between energy supply and demand in various countries has become increasingly prominent，and the traditional energy supply and demand structure has been unsustainable. At the same time，ASEAN countries have huge potential in the development and utilization of renewable energy resources，and promoting the development of renewable energy has become the main path for countries to implement energy transformation. Countries have formulated renewable energy strategies and action plans，established and improved renewable energy policy systems，promoted the planning and construction of renewable energy infrastructure，and strengthened regional connectivity of renewable energy and cooperation with countries outside the region，which has promoted changes in the supply and demand structure of renewable energy in various countries. The energy cooperation between China and ASEAN has a long history，and the cooperation between the two sides in the field of renewable energy has broad prospects for development.
