2023年印度参与上海合作组织情况：成绩、局限性与未来可能空间

Abstract:India assumed the presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization（SCO）after the Samarkand Summit，and it has been more actively involved in hosting and participating in the organization’s activities in 2023. India’s increased engagement in SCO activities is driven by its aspiration to deeply engage in Eurasian affairs，particularly in the area of connectivity，its ambition to assert itself as a major role through leveraging the influence of the organization，and its desire to showcase and expand its strengths through collaboration on specific domains. However，India’s participation in the activities of the SCO still has special considerations. The current stance of India towards the SCO does not contribute to its long-term development，particularly due to its negative bias and prevention mentality towards China，the conflict between India and Pakistan，and India’s attitude towards the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. A clear definition of India’s aspirations and a proactive exploration of effective areas for cooperation with other member states within the SCO，along with the implementation of new mechanisms and forms of collaboration within the organization，will help to stimulate India’s engagement.
