Abstract:Economic corridors and the “corridor economy” derived from them are important phenomena in the process of African integration and modernization. At present，the construction of the African economic corridors have reached a certain scale and are moving towards more coordinated and comprehensive directions. The growth of the “corridor economy” has adapted to the needs of Africa’s development to both “make the cake bigger” and “distribute the cake well”，and also reflects Africa’s development idea of “relying on internal achievements” and “relying on external forces”. Of course，the expansion of Africa’s “corridor economy” still faces many practical difficulties，infrastructure defects，security risks and unbalanced interest relations are the main challenges affecting its sustainable development. The expansion of economic corridors in the African continent has broad prospects，but it is necessary to pay more attention to the value propositions of climate change，digital transformation and human development，so as to promote the transformation and innovation of Africa’s “corridor economy” in the resilience construction，wisdom construction and system construction. The “corridor economy” in Africa should have clear goals and orientations in independent and open development，and carry out steady and long-term development.
