Abstract:Analyzing the complex relationship between Haruki Murakami’s literature and American literature is an important topic of study in academic circles. Scholars generally associate Murakami’s writing style and techniques with American literature and English-style writing，considering them to be the core elements of his creative work. At the same time，Murakami’s works，which have been translated and published in over 50 countries and regions worldwide，also contain diverse elements，displaying universal and global characteristics. This paper analyses the reasons behind the international popularity ofMurakami’s literature from the perspective of overseasrecognition. Like Mo Yan，Murakami possesses an extraordinary literary imagination. However，in terms of textual creation，overseas publicationand American literary translation，Murakami has a meticulous layout and strategy. The combination of these factors laid the foundation for Murakami’s worldwide reputationand provided material and perspectives for studying the diverse characteristics of his literature.
