Abstract:The Biden administration’s perception of the importance of the Indo-Pacific region and its place in America’s global strategy fully mirrors that of the Trump administration. In the Biden administration’s overall national security strategy，the Indo-Pacific has also been placed as the top priority among its regional strategies. The Biden administration’s promotion of the “Indo-Pacific strategy” involves a wide range of content in political diplomacy，economic trade，military security and other aspects，and the promotion of specific topics is also very in-depth. The most prominent efforts the Biden administration has done include：strengthening and modernizing its treaty alliances；developing and deepening cooperation with critical partners；investing in regional organizations and institutions；enlarging economic engagement and promoting rule-shaping；deepening military relations and cooperation with alliances and partners；And encouraging dialogue and cooperation with non-regional Allies in the Indo-Pacific region. The implementation of the Biden’s Indo-Pacific strategy has complicated the geopolitical and security environment of this region and exacerbated the emerging campification in the region. It will highly change the Indo-Pacific geoeconomic environment and exert complex influence on regional economic integration. It will further aggravate the mistrust between China and the United States and worsen China’s surrounding security environment.
