Abstract:Iran and Armenia are close neighbors and have deep historical ties with each other. After the collapse of the Soviet Union，the two countries formally established diplomatic relations in 1992. In the Post-Cold War era，both countries have experienced major changes in geopolitics and domestic political situations，but the two countries have maintained positive and stable friendly relations in the fields of politics，economy，culture，and security. For Iran，Armenia is an important partner in breaking the blockade，balancing regional power and enhancing its influence in the Caucasus region，while Armenia counts Iran as a significant reliance for breaking its isolation. The complex political and cultural environment in the Caucasus region makes this relation inevitably affected by ethnic contradictions，religious issues，and great power games，etc. The outcome of the second Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2020 reflects the changes inthe geopolitical situation in the Caucasus region and has had a certain impact on the direction of relations. However，dominated by convergent geopolitical and economic interests，amicable cooperation is still the mainstream of their future relations.
