乌克兰危机背景下复杂多变的法美关系

Abstract:Since being elected as French president，Macron has promoted domestic reform and tried to revitalize the country，explicitly proposing to build a “stronger and more independent France” and a “more united and autonomous EU” on the basis of maintaining stability in transatlantic relations. Macron’s policy towards the United States inherits and develops the Gaullist spirit of “independence and autonomy” but is also informed by a posture of “balancing” in light of the objective environment of big powers game and intensified competition. With the prolonged crisis in Ukraine，Franco-U.S.relations have become more complex，and Macron’s policy towards the United States has to be adjusted under the impulsion of internal and external circumstances. Achieving his vision of strategic autonomy would prove a gargantuan task.
