Abstract:The Brazil society has experienced double strikes from natural disasters and COVID-19 from 2020 to 2021. The Brazil people are facing two challenges of deterioration of the living environment and threats to life safety. Brazil society is completely unmasked by the crisis of governance，the shortage of materials and social inequality，the ineffective government’s anti-epidemic work，and the long existence of vulnerability in Brazil society. The above problems are chronic diseases of Brazilian Society for a long time，and have been intensified by the short-sighted economic development model and anti-scientism public policy pursued by Brazil in recent years. In the future，whether Brazilian society can get rid of the quagmire will depend on whether the Brazilian government and the public can’t be subject to the pressure of short-term economic growth，restore the basic respect of social mainstream values for science，adhere to the value orientation of social equity，formulate a social governance plan with human life as the highest pursuit，and embark on the road of healthy and sustainable development.
