Abstract:The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Scientific and Technological Innovation Corridor is not only a core strategy for innovation-driven development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,but also a forward-looking measure for China to participate in the global competition of scientific and technological innovation. To this end,this report firstly clarifies the strategic positioning,spatial pattern and development goals of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Scientific and Technological Innovation Corridor. Secondly,it deeply explores the construction status of the corridor in recent years and the technological and economic development level of the corridor regions through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the overall analysis,this report analyzes the functional orientation,construction status,development advantages,and development directions of the important node cities in the corridor regions. Then,this report analyzes the current construction effectiveness of the corridor from some aspects. Thirdly,this report summarizes the problems and challenges in construction and development of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Scientific and Technological Innovation Corridor. These problems and challenges are lack of advanced and sophisticated innovation resources and the basic innovation capability needs to be strengthened,lack of high-level technology enterprises and the competitiveness of innovative industries needs to be improved,the collaborative innovation model has not been fully established and the development of high-quality innovation urgently needs new impetus,cross-border flow of elements of innovation is still restricted and the collaborative development of high-end factors needs to be promoted respectively. Finally,this report puts forward specific development suggestions,such as enhance the capacity for basic innovation and strengthen the competitiveness of innovative industries,create a high-quality environment and boost the high-quality development of scientific and technological innovation,promote the agglomeration of innovative talents and improve the level of talent service.
