Abstract:In the past year，the UK economy has shown some signs of recovery. Some macroeconomic indicators have outperformed other developed economies，but they are also facing common pressures such as inflation and fiscal deficit. The UK economy is seriously troubled by inflation，and the inflation rate has reached its highest level in nearly 40 years. Although the Bank of England has repeatedly increased interest rates and implemented tight monetary policy，the effect of the policy has been disturbed by many uncertain factors. The current complicated economic and trade relations between the UK and the EU，high inflation，and complex external environment have led to the continued deterioration of the development environment of the UK’s manufacturing and financial services industries，which has driven the trade deficit to continue to expand，putting a lot of pressure on the UK economy. In the future，the resonance of constraints，such as the Russian-Ukrainian conflict，supply chain disruption，and COVID-19，may further drag down the recovery process of the UK economy.
