沙陀与回鹘关系研究

Abstract:This article studies the relationship between Shatuo and Uyghur in the Tang and Five Dynasties period. It is concluded as：First，Although the relationship between Shatuo and Uyghurs was very close，but there was limited resources to confirm if the Uyghurs could be regarded as the origins of Shatuo clan. Second，the formation of the close relationship between the Uyghurs and Shatuo began approximately when the Uyghurs moved westward during the Tianbao reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty，the Shatuo people were subordinate to the Uyghurs，and together with the Tang Beiting protectorate，they resisted Tubo’s attacks on the western regions of the Tang empire. Third，after the late Tang dynasty，the Shatuo people gradually gained supremacy in Daibei region and formed the Daibei group with the three tribes of Shatuo as the core together with other ethnic minorities. Some Uyghurs have also integrated into the Daibei Group and the emerging Shatuo ethnic community.
