三国及其以前焦侥民迁徙考

Abstract:Jiaoyao people belong to Yao’s tribe. Their initial residence was in Shanxian County in Henan Province. Yao built capital in Pingyang. When he was the tribal leader，Jiaoyao people once paid tribute to him. Monarch Shun was buried in Jiuyi （now in the south of Ningyuan County，Hunan Province） when he was on a southern tour of inspection. Jiuyi became the living center of Shun’s tribe，and Jiaoyao people came to Jiuyi with Monarch Shun during inspection tour. In the eyes of Confucius，Jiaoyao represented short people. During Spring and Autumn Period，Jiaoyao people had migrated to Vietnam and Myanmar. During Emperor Ming and Emperor An in the Eastern Han Dynasty，Jiaoyao people from the southwest part might come to Luoyang in order to pay tribute or become subject. From Eastern Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms Period，Daqin （Roman Empire） merchants might shipped the Jiaoyao people to the south of Roman Empire （interior Africa） through Maritime Silk Road and then built a country of short people （small people）.
