Abstract:The Yangtze River Delta，as the geographic space closest to the China International Import Expo （CIIE），bears a significant reform function in China’s open market strategy and a vital responsibility of leading high-quality development. The CIIE is a major policy initiative in the new round of opening up to the outside world. When integration of the Yangtze River Delta becomes a national strategy，the CIIE will become an important policy coordination platform and a practical subject for major cities in the Yangtze River Delta. As an open cooperation platform，the CIIE gives new policy connotations to regional cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta. The region can strengthen policy coordination in fields including distribution channels for imports，optimization of venue functional layout，display of opening-up concept，and improvement of business environment availability. In-depth reform also involves supply-side policy reforms including common industry policies，land system，and high-quality import-driven development upgrading.
