Abstract:Since the outbreak of COVID-19，Malaysia has experienced several ups and downs，and the domestic political and economic situation has also shown a series of new changes. Ismail became the ninth prime minister when Muhyiddin submitted his resignation after only a year and a half in power. Malaysia’s economic growth rate has turned from negative to positive，showing signs of gradual recovery，economic transformation and infrastructure construction have been accelerated. Starting from 1 April 2022，Malaysia has declared that the epidemic has entered the transitional phase of endemic disease，relaxing domestic epidemic prevention and control，and re-opening its borders. Under the new domestic and international circumstances，Malaysia will face a post-pandemic national election in which the contest between various parties will be re-played. Malaysia will continue to recover，but there are still many uncertainties.
