Abstract:The construction industry is the basic and leading industry of the national economy，especially in the major economic fields related to the national economy and the people’s livelihood，such as manufacturing，transportation and real estate. This paper reviews the basic situation of industry development in Qinghai Province in 2021，and summarizes the development characteristics of the construction industry，which plays an important role in the economic development of the province，the construction industry plays an important role in tax revenue，the construction industry plays an important role in employment and increasing the income of farmers and herdsmen，and the construction industry plays an important role in stimulating upstream and downstream industries. This paper points out the problems existing in the development of the industry，such as the low proportion of fixed asset investment into the added value of the construction industry，the large tax outflow of the construction industry，the low skill level of the employees in the construction industry，and the ineffective implementation of the policies and measures to support the development of the construction enterprises. It puts forward two development suggestions：paying attention to the transformation and development of the construction industry and implementing the policies to support the development of the construction industry.
