Abstract:Adhering to its technological leadership，State Grid has steadily expanded its international business，and made tremendous contributions to promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of global energy，as it helps build a community with a shared future for mankind. The Belo Monte 800 kV UHVDC concession Phase I and Ⅱ Project in Brazil is a signature project of State Grid，highlighting its “Going Out” strategy. This project has improved the technological level of Brazil’s power industry，guaranteed the safe and reliable supply of power and energy in Brazil，strongly supported local economic and social development，and has become a successful case of cooperative development following the principle of “Consultation，Contribution and Shared Benefits”. The key experiences from the project include：comprehensively leveraging technical advantages and creating a UHDVC signature card；giving full play to the advantages of collectivization and going global using two integration modes—“Investment，Construction and Operation” and “Technology，Standards and Equipment”；ensuring open resources for shared benefits and deepened communication；and practicing mutual benefit and achieving win-win results to facilitate local sustainable development. As a key successful project under the “Belt and Road Initiative” and international capacity cooperation in the field of power and energy in South America，the project is of immense reference value for other enterprises that are looking to conduct business overseas.
